NTX STANDBY: TROPICAL STORM IMELDA UPDATE #4

CONTINUED STANDBY NOTICE:

 

Tropical Storm Imelda has continued to cause major flooding issues in South East Texas region with rainfall amounts rivaling Hurricane Harvey.  The projected path has shifted to the west, with potential direct impact to Dallas/Fort Worth area from tropical rains over the next 24-48 hours.  Localized flooding must be expected.  More details are provided in the 19-0029 September Severe Tropical Weather  SITREP.

 

American Red Cross has been activated in the affected areas.

 

All District Emergency Coordinators, Emergency Coordinators are asked to keep their teams on Standby.  Resources and readiness should have been reviewed by this time.

 

DO NOT SELF DEPLOY!

 

UPDATE:

Texas Governor Abbot has ordered the Texas State Operations Center to Level II as of 07:00 19 September 2019 CDT.
