Districts 1- 6 Emergency Coordinators, Emergency Coordinators are asked to stand down their teams.
Districts 7-9 asked to remain on STANDBY.
A “a temporary waiver to permit amateur data transmissions at a higher symbol rate than currently is permitted by section 97.307(f) of the Commission’s rules, in order to facilitate hurricane relief communications within the continental United States" has been granted.
Hurricane Laura made landfall as a Major Hurricane in Louisiana/Texas and continues to move North in Louisiana. Initial rescue efforts have begun along the Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast areas.
Maintain Situational Awareness by frequently checking local Weather Office and the National Hurricane Center.

Mandatory and Voluntary Evacuations have been ordered along the Gulf Coast

Ennis and Mesquite are Reception Centers in the North Texas Section for Evacuees.
Evacuees are being placed in hotels throughout the section.

The NTX Net is continuing operations on 3860 LSB for nighttime (2030 hrs) and 7277.5 daytime (0830 hrs)
The NTX Section All-Star Hub 51407 is active
The NTX National Traffic System (NTS) Traffic Net on 7290 is operating daily from 0900 – 1600
