Greg Evans K5GTX ARRLNTX SEC

This week (July 20-24), the Military Auxiliary Radio Service (MARS) will be conducting an exercise. MARS Members will be contacting Amateur Radio Operators on 60m (5330.5 kHz dial) twice a day. Hams will be asked for county status information as well as airport weather information (called METARS). MARS members will be passing ICS-213 messages to numerous DOD, federal and amateur radio addressees.

MARS will also contact hams via HFLink (Ham Radio ALE Network).  WWV is broadcasting information about this exercise at :10 after the hour and WWVH at :50 minutes. This is a great opportunity for you to exercise your HF skills and support an ARES partner.
