For those of us who know little about the traffic system, can you define some of these acronyms? SAR? PSHR?

Good evening,

Each month Field Organization Reports are filed with ARRL HQ. This includes the NTX Section Traffic Manager report I send which provides National Traffic System station reports and traffic net details. This information is used for a few reasons, including the Public Service Honor Roll (PSHR) which is one way ARRL recognizes the valuable public service that radio amateurs provide. You can see a list of recognized stations in each monthly edition of QST – it’s on page 102 in the November 2019 edition.

I have a copy of the October report below, and I attached a PDF version in case groups.io/email clients/??? do anything to the formatting. Going forward I plan to share this report here and elsewhere to help provide better transparency into National Traffic System activity in North Texas. I welcome any comments and feedback you may have, as well as any questions about the NTS. And, if you know of an amateur radio club that would find a presentation about the NTS interesting to offer, please do let me know.

The station order has changed.
I am using an updated spreadsheet to generate this data and the station order will now be alphabetized for consistency. See Comments for more information.

Comments
Happy November! I have taken a fresh look at what I’m providing in my reports and made some enhancements. This included revamping the spreadsheet I’m using to track information, as well as this email’s layout and design. The spreadsheet does a better job of taking station and traffic net reports and automatically completing calculations and statistics, and it now directly feeds the charts I have on the statistics page. To try and be more consistent, rather than sorting station reports based on PSHR values, I am now sorting stations alphabetically. I hope this new format is a bit cleaner to follow and more informative.

Thank you everyone for your continued contributions to the National Traffic System, and as always, I welcome any comments/suggestions/feedback you have.
