//WL2K KG5VK calling CQ on 14.345 if anyone wants to try a Phone exchange

Hey, Steve... for some reason, the ICS-213 didn't populate correctly... but I opened the txt file attachment and saw your message.

I monitored 14.345, but didn't hear anything. There was a QSO on 14.346 that came in loud and clear.

At 1300, I tried listening to the 7290 traffic net, and they came in very weak.... weaker than hearing Dave K5YFO on 60m.

I made a couple of contacts on 80m, and the guys on the 3916 net could hear me just fine. Dave K5YFO told me the "critical frequency" for propagation in Texas, right now, is around 4.9MHz.

I'll be at the Mt. Pleasant DDC at 1000 to start State RACES operations... maybe I'll have more luck there than I have at my QTH. I may have a coax issue? I'll be replacing my RG59/U with LMR400 next week...
